You won't eat that canned jello like cranberry log after you have tried making this very easy, very delicious and very fast cranberry sauce. It takes almost no time to prepare and you can prepare it days in advance for your holiday dinner. Ingredients:
1 -12 oz bag of fresh cranberries 1 cinnamon stick 1 cup of orange juice (If using a fresh orange, use the zest as well before cutting and squeezing) 1 cup of light brown sugar Pinch of Kosher or sea salt 1/8 of a cup (or a bit more, whose measuring!) Grand Marnier liquor 1/4 tsp. of pumpkin spice Tools: For one 12oz bag a small sauté pot will do Silicone spoon microplane grater for zesting Directions: So Easy! In a small sauté pot add all your ingredients on medium heat and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and keep mixing until cranberries burst and sauce thickens. This takes all of 10 minutes. I like to use the back of spoon to mush any whole cranberries. Let cool, take out cinnamon stick, jar it and put in refrigerator until ready to use.
